Summary of Herod’s destruction of the Hasmonean Dynasty
- The Maccabees were annihilated by Herod the Edomite because they began to trust in Edom and not Yahawah.
- This trust in Edom is trust in Satan as Esau is the agent of Satan. It was displayed in their willingness to play the game of politics, particularly demonocracy instead of obeying God’s laws of war.
CONCLUSION
You’re in a spiritual war. You must give your last breath standing against the enemies of God. Be a warrior. Do not negotiate with Edom for safety or you will be annihilated.
